Valentine's Day - Mixed Thoughts.
Valentine's Day has always been something that I've not been a big fan of. Even when married, it was a lonely holiday. Usually he would find a reason to fight, and the only time I got flowers was when his co-workers girlfriend who ran a florist shop or worked for one, I forget, offered to do it for free.
For those that are single, or lonely/alone even though in a relationship, it's just a reminder that they don't have that love that most people crave even if they deny it.
For those that do have the type of love we all should wait for - one full of passion, trust, friendship, chemistry, loyalty.... every day is like Valentine's Day. So really.... it's just a day to sell cards, candy, and flowers.
However, it makes me wonder... how many people in this world settled for someone they could live with? How many have been lucky enough to find someone they can't live without?? Someone that makes their heart race and full of joy even if the relationship is not new...
As Carrie Bradshaw once said "I refuse to settle for anything less than the butterflies"
